Block printing is a method of printing using blocks made to hand block printed saree. Block printing is believed to have originated in China and has been used worldwide for a long time.
Once upon a time, block printing on garments like turbans and sarees in rural hamlets had better times when the world took notice. It is famous in Gujarat and Rajasthan, where it is still a popular printing method due to its delicate and intricate designs.The blocks used for printing are wooden, well-planned, and smoothly leveled. Beautiful impression with ajrakh print saree The colors used earlier were natural and vegetable dyes. Today, synthetic dyes are widely preferred because they are readily available, relatively cheap, and easy to use. The structure of the ajrakh print saree is filled with metal plates so that tiny details can be carved into the league. Detailed designs are possible. They are made of pear wood, plywood, and sycamore, are 2 to 3 inches thick, vary in size, and are reinforced with two or more pieces of dill or pine wood. The individual pieces or blocks are threaded together in grooves to fit snugly and stick to each other. Place the print fabric on a flat table and hand block print. The saree is covered with intricate Buddha and other motifs.
